No Impact Man
No Impact man is a book and documentary about a man and his family going a year making 'no impact' or some what erasing their eco-footprint, they didn't but take-out food, took away their TV. washed their clothes in a bathtub, a company loaned them a solar panel and so on. This was their project. Image going without things like TV or a washing machine, normally I don't think about those things but this documentary did and I realized just how much I like my TV, and how much easier life is with a dishwasher and such. I also realized how much people waste, not just garbage but energy and water etc. People but things they don't need and unnecessarily use up energy, they drive cars all over the place and pollute, a lot, really. Think about it, how many times have you had a car ride when you could have walked or biked? I mean of course in the winter it is way easier and more convenient, and warmer, so I'm not say you must walk everywhere, no. It's just I thought about all the waste and it's horrible. So I've challenged myself to not leaving the hall lights on at all not even turning them on, I know it's small but everything counts right? Right.

ISU inquiry questions
Again for my ISU I'm doing punk rock so my 3 inquiry questions are:
1. How does/did punk rock and punk rockers effect society((fashion, art, films,TV)?
2. When and why did it start?
-who were some influential punk rockers?
-who were some the first punk rockers
3. What were peoples first impressions on punk rock, and what are their opinions now?
I realize that these questions might not be perfect but, well, I tried my best.

Extemely Loud and Incredibly Close-Quote
As you can infer from the title and other blog posts I am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Johnathan Safran Foer) and again form the title I've chosen a quote to talk about:
'What about a teakettle? What if the spout opened and closed when the steam came out, so it would become a mouth, and it could whistle pretty melodies, or do Shakespeare, or just crack up with me? I could invent a teakettle that reads in dads voice, so I could fall asleep,or maybe a set of teakettles that could sing 'Yellow Submarine' which is a song by the Beatles, who I love, because entomology is one of my raisons d'ĂȘtre, which is a french expression that I know.'
That's on the first page and it gives you a pretty good impression of Oscar the main character a 9 year old, it tells you that he's an inventor, and you wonder about his dad who he mentions, you can tell his dad might not be there but you don't know where. Another thing you don't know is who it is, later on you find out it's Oscar but you don't know that when you read that sentence or few, an inference could be he's young because of his dad, and it sounds like something a young person might think about.
The reason I chose that specific quote and not another, because there was quite a few, was because it perfectly describes Oscar, I think, and though in the beginning it may not make sense later on it all comes together,it also describes other children who all have ideas and probably also have a favorite band and, though it may not seem like it, are all like Oscar in one way or another.
