No Impact Man
No Impact man is a book and documentary about a man and his family going a year making 'no impact' or some what erasing their eco-footprint, they didn't but take-out food, took away their TV. washed their clothes in a bathtub, a company loaned them a solar panel and so on. This was their project. Image going without things like TV or a washing machine, normally I don't think about those things but this documentary did and I realized just how much I like my TV, and how much easier life is with a dishwasher and such. I also realized how much people waste, not just garbage but energy and water etc. People but things they don't need and unnecessarily use up energy, they drive cars all over the place and pollute, a lot, really. Think about it, how many times have you had a car ride when you could have walked or biked? I mean of course in the winter it is way easier and more convenient, and warmer, so I'm not say you must walk everywhere, no. It's just I thought about all the waste and it's horrible. So I've challenged myself to not leaving the hall lights on at all not even turning them on, I know it's small but everything counts right? Right.

ISU inquiry questions
Again for my ISU I'm doing punk rock so my 3 inquiry questions are:
1. How does/did punk rock and punk rockers effect society((fashion, art, films,TV)?
2. When and why did it start?
-who were some influential punk rockers?
-who were some the first punk rockers
3. What were peoples first impressions on punk rock, and what are their opinions now?
I realize that these questions might not be perfect but, well, I tried my best.

Extemely Loud and Incredibly Close-Quote
As you can infer from the title and other blog posts I am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Johnathan Safran Foer) and again form the title I've chosen a quote to talk about:
'What about a teakettle? What if the spout opened and closed when the steam came out, so it would become a mouth, and it could whistle pretty melodies, or do Shakespeare, or just crack up with me? I could invent a teakettle that reads in dads voice, so I could fall asleep,or maybe a set of teakettles that could sing 'Yellow Submarine' which is a song by the Beatles, who I love, because entomology is one of my raisons d'ĂȘtre, which is a french expression that I know.'
That's on the first page and it gives you a pretty good impression of Oscar the main character a 9 year old, it tells you that he's an inventor, and you wonder about his dad who he mentions, you can tell his dad might not be there but you don't know where. Another thing you don't know is who it is, later on you find out it's Oscar but you don't know that when you read that sentence or few, an inference could be he's young because of his dad, and it sounds like something a young person might think about.
The reason I chose that specific quote and not another, because there was quite a few, was because it perfectly describes Oscar, I think, and though in the beginning it may not make sense later on it all comes together,it also describes other children who all have ideas and probably also have a favorite band and, though it may not seem like it, are all like Oscar in one way or another.

I have realized that this is the llama blog and I've barely mentioned llamas at all so I'm about to rectify that...
LLAMAS
So this is just a little about llamas, you know where they're most commonly found stuff like that.
Llamas are relatives of alpacas and camels and are commonly found in the Andes,
they mainly eat grass and chew on it much like cows. They are quite usually used as pack animals like camels to carry things up the Andes. You can also find them in zoos and such. personally I think they are the best animals ever. Another thing they weigh 280 t9 405 lbs if you couldn't tell that's a lot. Last thing, their fur/hair is so soft! Sorry that wasn't the last thing they're hypo-allergenic which means for people with allergies they won't make them sneeze. here are a few pictures:
That's a little about llamas just some of what I know about llamas just a little.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close question and answer
So for those of you who are unaware I am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close which is a book about a genius 9 year old boy(Oscar) whose dad jumped out of the world trade center during 911, Oscar finds a mysterious key from his dad, the part where I'm currently reading is mainly revolving around him trying to figure out what lock does the key go with. I have decided to answer the question:
Do you find the illustrations, scribblings, oven-written texts, etc. a meaningful, integral part of the work or do you find them distracting and gimmicky? Why are they there? Does it help build the mystery?
And here's my answer...
I find that the scribblings etc. are a meaningful part of the story, to some people they might just be strange and pointless but I feel that though they might be odd, it will all come together in the end. I also find them interesting to ponder and think about because you can think about what they might be for and where they tie into the story. Another thing about the second part of the question if it helps build the mystery and I think it does because like I mentioned above, you wonder where they tie into the story. To many/some they would be distracting and kind of cliche and I can understand why but when you think they just amalgamate the story and add up to the end, without them the story wouldn't make that much sense and wouldn't be as fun to read. They are there, I think, to make you wonder, wonder and think about the characters about the plot about the story in general and why the author put them there.

Meaningful Image
An image of a war, it's meaningful but it also makes you think. You start to wonder which war is it but then when you really start thinking you realize, does it really matter? It's a war people die and it really doesn't matter which side they're on because though one side's right and one isn't they still have people who care about them, then you start to think about well why did this happen. It's because some people doesn't matter who had a disagreement and generally they're not the ones risking their lives to prove that they're right. But in a way it does matter which war it is and in another it doesn't, it matters to certain people because maybe it was WW2 the biggest war, maybe it matters to certain people because they knew or know someone who was in it but then maybe it doesn't matter because it's still a war. This is my second image...
a llama!!!!! Actually this isn't my meaningful image that's above^^^ but i thought my rant/talk about wars was a little depressing so what better to cheer people up than a llama, plus this is called The Llama Blog.

The Best Way To Share A Coke
I thought this video was pretty cool it reminds me of a Rube Goldberg machine. For those of you who don't know, Rube Goldberg was an American inventor, engineer and cartoonist who was famous for his crazy machines. However, this was done by Coke but if you've seen a Rube Goldberg machine you'll see the similarities.

Technology...Good or Bad?
So technology, many people wonder if it's affecting everyone in a positive or negative way, I think both.
Technology keeps us connected with people who we otherwise would never know with things like Skype and Twitter, we now can communicate with people all over the world but seemingly we don't just talk anymore we text and tweet and email but we almost never talk. It's different for some people but the majority will find themselves on their phone or computer most of the time. But that doesn't mean we should all just never use technology ever again, technology has helped us learn new things and make discoveries, without technology many things would never have happened or been invented, things like trips to the moon or finding new cures for diseases we would never have found out about without technology. So there is no real answer for if it's good or bad, many people will say it's one or the other but it's not, it's just plainly both.
